Already the approach through the gorge at Boaventura is beautiful and worth seeing. At the beginning / end there is a steep ascent / descent of about 1 km. After that the whole hike is flat and easy to walk. You walk through gorgeous green nature with beautiful old trees and some fantastic viewpoints, from where you can see through the valley to the sea. At the end of the walk there are a few picnic tables, which can be found behind the Levandeiros’ house. Here we have turned back, but you can follow the levada even further if you like to.
